There are many opportunities to volunteer with End Slavery Cincinnati regardless of your availability, skills or expertise, and your interest.  Below are a few of the avenues currently available for interested volunteers.  Please do not hesitate to contact the coalition manager directly (Erin.Meyer@use.salvationarmy.org) if you have any questions or wish to explore other options.

Become a Coalition Member

The most flexible way to get involved in the coalition and the anti-human trafficking movement in Cincinnati is to join the coalition.

By attending a coalition meeting or two and completing a brief membership agreement (available at the meetings) you can engage in the activities of the coalition, join a committee and participate in the collaborative efforts of the coalition members to combat human trafficking in your community.

Street Outreach

A trained team of volunteers and End Slavery Cincinnati Staff go out to the streets of Cincinnati to connect with women being exploited in the commercial sex industry and to offer support. As a team, we distribute gift bags which include basic essentials for victims and outreach efforts to spread awareness and understanding. We offer encouragement and a source of hope letting trafficking victims know that we are here to serve them.

The street team appreciates both male/female volunteers. Although more male volunteers are needed to drive the van, all help would be greatly appreciated. Female volunteers will actually get out of the van to distribute the gift bags on the streets.

Trainings to be a part of team will take place on a monthly basis. The trainings will be held monthly from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at The Salvation Army Downtown.  Click here for a training schedule.

The team currently goes out on Tuesdays from 8-10pm; however, new shifts are being explored. For shift availability and to sign up to become a Street Outreach team member please send an email to escoutreach@gmail.com.  If you are not able to volunteer your time, but you would like to support the creation of the gift bags, click here.

Other coalition member organizations conduct Street Outreach and engage with women exploited through commercial sex, as well. Please visit the organization websites below for more information on how to volunteer with their programs:

Mentor Program

Support a client during their recovery! The Salvation Army of Anti-Human Trafficking Program is offering a mentoring program for human trafficking survivors.

The goal of the program is to provide social support and skill development opportunities. Mentors will connect with survivors on a monthly basis at events or outings based on the needs and interests of the mentee or combined interests. Destination examples might include area parks, museums, art events, zoo, or other Cincinnati attractions. Mentors and mentees will be matched according to their availability and mutual interests.
