Southwest Ohio Regional Coalition Specialist

The Salvation Army of Southwest Ohio is seeking to fill a part time (25 hours per week) Regional Coalition Specialist position. This position is responsible for supporting the activities of the Rescue and Restore Coalition, End Slavery Cincinnati, and its committees, including Victim Services, Public Education and Awareness, and Legislation and Policy. Additionally, in partnership with other Regional Coalition Specialists around Ohio, this position will develop training content on foreign born victims and labor trafficking, conduct training, and will work to integrate this training content into human trafficking trainings offered by coalitions and advocates around Ohio. The Regional Coalition Specialist will develop outreach strategies to identify foreign national victims and labor trafficking victims and will conduct training on these strategies throughout Southwest Ohio.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
  • At least one year of experience with anti-human trafficking activities, coalitions or victim-serving organizations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working effectively in cross-cultural settings
  • Ability to secure and maintain driving privileges in Ohio.
  • Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.

The Salvation Army is currently recruiting AmeriCorps PATH Member applicants to serve as outlets of public education and awareness of human trafficking in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Public Education Specialist and Volunteer Management Specialist will work with local organizations and state agencies to assist in increasing public education and awareness of human trafficking, and providing support in regions of Ohio that are underserved or lacking anti-trafficking coalitions.

Anti-Human Trafficking Case Manager

The Salvation Army is seeking to fill a full-time Anti-Human Trafficking Case Manager position. Benefit package included. This position plays a key role in The Salvation Army’s Anti-Human Trafficking response, providing 24 hour emergency response and comprehensive case management to assist human trafficking survivors with exiting trafficking, stabilizing and healing from trauma. Additionally, this position conducts outreach to trafficked persons and provides support to survivors through The Well, The Salvation Army’s drop in center for women trafficked in the sex industry.


  • Provide emergency response and long term comprehensive care for victims of sex and labor trafficking, to include: providing 24 hour emergency response, serve as first contact and emergency responder, assess immediate needs, coordination with law enforcement, develop safety plans, coordinate referrals and utilize Salvation Army and community resources to respond to needs, provide comprehensive case management for victims of sex and labor trafficking, and other duties associated with case management.
  • Field local hotline calls
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes and completion of reports
  • Conduct weekly street outreach after hours
  • Facilitate activities at The Well, including: facilitating support groups, managing group and individual tasks, and responding to participants’ needs
  • Participate in End Slavery Cincinnati Coalition and other Committee meetings, and Ohio Human Trafficking Commission Meetings
  • Conduct volunteer trainings, and participate in task supervision for program interns and fellows
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or related field, required. Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio preferred.
  • Experience working with victims of human trafficking is preferred. Experience working with victims of other traumatic crimes, such as domestic violence or sexual assault is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
  • Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
